The trials of life just keep on comin’, one, by one here!!! Translated…
Huei who just started working at the office took a day off, heard that she’d fallen ill, as we’d observed her go about work, we’d felt, that she’s a very capable, able-bodied, quiet housewife, she isn’t that old, but she already had three daughters, her eldest is already working. I only know, that she’s a single mom, from before she’d left the workforce, for over six months, and now she’s back, because she’d wanted to, lower the stress of economic burdens for the family; and just so happens, we’re short on personnel, and the job was exactly what Huei specializes in, she surely had, helped us a lot.
She’d shown up at the office a few days later, with dark sunglasses, and bandages, wrapped around her arms, it seemed very serious, it was, domestic violence! But, aren’t they already divorced? How can he DARE still hit her? Would it be that Huei had gone soft? Or that she didn’t know, how to protect herself? She had a restraining order handy, just in case, and, yet, she’d not gone to the courts to get it verified, and, she’d not felt fitting, to do that, to a man she’d married for twenty years, and because she’d wanted to keep the image of a father figure for her children.
What sort of a reasoning IS this? He’d had an affair and started getting violent, it was, a caught-in-the-act kind of divorce, legally, but because he couldn’t make the alimony and child support payments that he’d gone to her place, to beat her up, for, god knows how many times already; the man knew, that Huei wouldn’t call the police, and wouldn’t fight back either, and so, he’d done, as he, pleased.
Finally I’d understood, WHY it is, that Huei had left the workforce when she was so very young, handling her ex was trying enough, how could she still have the mind for work? They’d gotten on fine for six years, but, after he’d learned that she’d taken up a new job, he’d started again. During this time, Huei was so stressed every single day, he’d LINED her every single day, and, every couple of days, he’d driven from the northern regions, to rant to her in Tainan, and he’d threated that he will make sure, that Huei and her daughter doesn’t have a roof over their heads, and the reason was really laughable and bullshitting too, the son of the woman he’d had an affair with got into a fender-bender and didn’t have the money to pay up, and so, he’d gotten into his head, that he could take the property that Huei and her daughter was staying at. The house that had ten year’s worth of loans being paid, with Huei as the signee, as she was getting a divorce, she’d not had the mind or the time, to contemplate on the matter of the property, and, her ex used that to his advantage.
Huei had been tried for over a year now, she’s now, beaten, physically and mentally too, she finally, couldn’t, handle it anymore, she’d even thought about suicide too, written down her will already, gladly, as she’d come to work at the office, she’d had a couple of us, ladies on her side, we’d, gotten through to her finally, and Huei is finally, awake, and decided to leave everything UP to her attorney, and the law, everything will eventually get set right again this way.
She and her daughter looked for another place to live in, so they won’t get that never-ending nightmare back again. It would be easy, to say, that you’re severing all the ties, but to really achieve it, is another story; after the disappointments, the hurt, time, and time again, plus the encouragements of a couple of older ladies from her work, I’m sure, that Huei and her daughter will finally have the peaceful, happy, and ease in life again.
And so, this still just shows, how when you cut, you MUST, SEVER everything off, but that, would be the problem with women, we would go soft, and that, is what those LOSERS are counting on too, and, if we don’t TOUGHEN ourselves up, then, we will always get F***ED up by you sons-of-bitches!!! But gladly, this woman finally had HER wakeup call………I think………
