The representative, Watanabe, of the creativity unit of LIE believed, that the first and foremost factor that affects the pictures being downloaded and used is the “practicality”. And the more practical the pictures are, the better chances they have of, getting spread around, causing the number of downloads to increase, and thus, become, an opportunity to make money off of it. The creators of these pictures however, believed, that “the pictures with the least number of characters get downloaded more often”.
Watanabe pointed out, the practical pictures of LINE is spread into “emoticons”, “behavioral”, and “greetings”, and, these pictures are with simple words and pictures, which would allow people to interact with one another more easily.
Making the observations of usage patterns in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia, the research had found that the humorous and weird and out-of-place pictures are ranked top in the Taiwanese people’s minds; and the adolescent girl typed cutesy pictures managed to, steal the hearts of the Japanese users.
