Life, the Obstacle Course

A Black Nightmare

Advertisements

From a Chinese blog I’m a subscriber to, translated, by me…

Who bent over and managed, to throw that net of mysticism

Toward those, sorrowful eyes of yours

The seas cried, inside your eyes

As desperation, became, who you are

Without features, without forms, without self

You are, the invisible, wearing the black burka

Indifference and denial, used the lit-up banners

To deflower your pure bodies

You wanted to scream aloud

But your opened up mouth became

A dark tunnel, without the echoing of sound

In those, empty eyes, something is, slowly dying in them

not my photograph…

Burning, assaults, spitting out the flames

The falsified mercies burned brightly

The fires of wars, the animosities toward you burned and sizzled

The raging violence spread all over

Faith and principles made the humanity backed away

The never-ending hatred had, swallowed up civilization and rationalities

That was, the horrid of black, a nightmare of, blackness

Grinding up, destroying, the hopes and dreams you have for your future

Your soul, that was, branded by the teachings is now, weeping

For the women in black burka

still NOT my photo here…

It’s all violence over there, and you, their prey

It’s sharpened knives, the blood that ran south, and you became the ruins

The desires of the males for you

Is fear, is fixation, hostile, and longing

The anxieties of the believers, the raging angers of the blind followers

The blackened skies carried off the dried up land and the bones

You are, surrounded by desperation, incarcerated, by the shadows

nope, still NOT my picture…

You reached up, toward the skies, questioned the heavens:

Why, is the womb beneath your Burka, the entryway into hell

You do sense, that sense of desperation from the narrator here, don’t you?  I mean, we can’t choose our nationalities, who we were born as, we can only follow this path that life has set for us, and, this poem is about that sense of helplessness toward how the Muslims are being discriminated against across the entire globe, and it’s written by a Chinese person, and I’d merely, translated it, so, don’t SHOOT the “messenger”, in fact, don’t shoot ANYBODY!!!
