Facebook, a Poem

this, would be H-O-W it’s DONE!!!

Translated…

How, can a face be a book?

With the wrinkles, it will be read, as bird shit, on the windshields

With the zits, interpreted as, the coming of winter

The face without the creams to protect it, can’t weather through the snowstorms

Without enough salt, no matter how much pain you feel

You can’t reproduce the tears

You said, that your Facebook is not for the sake of

Showing your face

Although, you’d posted a photo of you, from twenty-years ago

Laughing at someone

You said, that there had been, two beauty marks, added on, to your Facebook

To fill up the emptiness, that void, in my gaze

I don’t have Facebook

Because, I cherish my face

The spring is here

I’d recalled, how my grandmother’s white hair flew with the wind

Recalled how, back when you and I broke up

You’d severed off the relationship completely

And so, this, is what after you break up, your FB accounts looked like, everything is under construction, and, you’d needed to, take OFF those photographs of your sweeter times together, and, you may even need to, SHUT down your FB accounts altogether, because, you’d added that ex as one of your contacts that you’re tracking, and, if s/he is moving on, and you’re not, how, would that make you feel???
