The fifty-seven year-old man, Cheng was hospitalized because of a stroke, and was having delusions, suspected to have been caused by his stroke, he imagined that his wife wanted to abandon him, and leave home, yesterday around noon, no more than two hours after his wife took him home from the hospital, Cheng killed his own wife with a knife, then, leapt off of his building, both of them died.
“The blood was running dry on his wife”, the officers and paramedics who rushed over stated, that as they’d entered the residence, they saw the fifty-eight year-old woman in a short red top, without any clothes on the bottom, there was blood everywhere; the son who was waken from his sleep was in shock, couldn’t speak, carried a quilt, to cover up his own mother.
The police found, that what killed Cheng’s wife was the knife wound on her carotid, about five centimeters in length, three centimeters deep, there were, no other injuries on the rest of her body; Cheng died of a broken rib, there wasn’t a note anywhere.
The police investigated, that after Cheng had murdered his wife, he woke his son from his sleep, “Your mother is dying, go and save her”, the son rushed to his parents’ room, saw his mother on the floor, immediately called 119.
Within five minutes of Cheng’s son hanging up the phones, the neighbors heard a loud noise from outside, saw that Cheng was lying on the pavement, the neighbor immediately went up to the Cheng’s residence, told the son, “Your father fell from the roof”, that, was when Cheng’s son realized, that his father had taken the leap to his death from the fifth floor.
Cheng’s son told the police, his father had hypertension, that after he had a stroke and was admitted to the hospital last week, his temperament changed, would get delusional, told him over and over, “Do you not know, that your mother is leaving?”, he’d replied, “Impossible! Mom loves this family very much!”, but until the moment of his own mother’s murder, his father had kept telling him similar things.
Cheng’s son told, that there was nothing wrong with his parents getting along, that yesterday, when he ate lunch with them, all was well. He’d once asked the doctors, “My father had imagined my mother leaving home a lot lately”, don’t know if it’s related to his illness, the doctor told him, that it may be a result of taking the medication for his stroke.
The neighbors said, that the Chengs had moved in just five months ago, they’d never heard them argue, as they arrived home from the hospital, they were still carrying on in conversation, but, within two hours of coming home, this had happened. Cheng’s elderly father, upon receiving the news of his own son’s death, started crying out of control, kept claiming, “How, did a good home end up like this?”
And so, this, would be caused by the man’s stroke, because a neurologist said, that if the area of the stroke is close to the front lobe, then, after the stroke, the patients may develop hallucinations, but it would be very rare, and that some of the patients also got diagnosed with depression, which can be treated with medication.
This, could’ve well been avoided, but, the man who had a stroke was delusional, in believing that his wife was going to leave him, was unfaithful to him, and, he was driven to murder, by his own jealous rage, this just shows, how jealousy can kill!
