Life, the Obstacle Course

Do Hold Your Wives in High Regards

Between a husband and a wife, translated…

Two nights ago, the man of the house who’d worked overtime came home, and had some of the soup I’d prepared for him, he’d stated, out of the blue, “tastes wonderful!”, I was, folding up the laundry close by, and felt, stunned, is he, talking about, my cooking?  I glanced over at the television, there doesn’t seem to have been a news report on foods, then, he must be, commending my cooking!

How long has it been, since I was, last, complimented by him?  Thinking on this, real hard, from when we first met, even if he wasn’t the romantic type, he’d complimented me, “You look pretty” when we met up, or looked upon the way I dressed, my purse, my shoes, and said things like “I love the style”, “You have great taste”, and some other compliments.  As we’d gotten deeper into our relationship, being an unromantic person, he’d stated, “I had a wonderful time with you tonight” and stuff like that too.

Oh yeah, on the day I’d tried on my wedding gown, he’d even said, “beautiful!”, as for what he thought was beautiful, the dress, or the person, I’d not even asked him about it, I’d just felt, insurmountable happiness.

What’s shameful was, I’d longed for the man of the house’s praises, and had gone all out, in supper prep, I’d not gotten the compliments I’d expected from him, and I just couldn’t, hold it in any longer, and asked him, “how does it taste?”, he’d just replied, “mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm”.

It is, different, from before and after the marriage………since the man of the house became “silent”, then, I shall give him, a “saltless supper”, don’t know if the man who’s very kept by his words will know his wife’s intentions?

And so, this, is what being taken for granted looked like, and, you can see how easily this woman feels happy, when she was complimented by her husband, and, she’d longed to get that compliment again, but the husband just, became DUMB, and this time, she’d come up with a method, to voice her displeasures to him, nonverbally, hopefully, he will, GET it!
