How the wife had, saved the husband’s life, MORE than once, translated…
I’d married my husband for almost thirty years now, our love grew stronger by the day. During this year, he’d treated me with even more love; told me, that I’d saved his life, that it’s only natural, that he’d treated me kindly.
Yes, it seems, as if, I did, save his life. There were, two occasions that are, worth mentioning, once, on January eighth of the Chinese lunar calendar year in 1991, on his way home from working the graveyard shift, he was, hit, by a drunk-driver in his twenties.
That car we’d owned was only three months old, totaled completely, the driver’s side was, so totaled that there was only, HALF of the original space there. But, other than the bruises on half of his body, my husband had NO broken bones, and was conscious.
Being involved in such a serious wreck, he’d not lost his life, because right before the accidents, I’d told him, that driving in the late nights, other than being careful himself, he’d needed to, watch out for the other drivers on the road, that he’d needed to, put his seatbelt on. And this belief was, odd, two decades ago in Taiwan, and the government also didn’t, enforce the laws, but, he’d listened, and followed my advice, and it had, saved his life.
Another time was at the start of last year, he had a stroke in his eyes, his eyes couldn’t focus, and it’d affected his ability to drive safe. Everybody, including himself, believed, that the problem was with his eyes. But, I’d had medical trainings in the Chinese medicines, I’d believed, that it was, something up with the functionality of his body, insisted that he’d taken the Chinese medicines to help him get better.
He’d thanked the advices of his friends and families, and trusted my judgments, took the medication prescribed by my Chinese medicine teacher. Within a month’s time, his eye sight improved, and, he’d become, healthier, in the rest of his physical health as well.
These two times that he’d gotten close to death, it seemed, like it was, me who’d, pulled him out, but, after sharing my knowledge on medicine with my relatives and families, and gotten shot down, I’d learned, that even IF I have the powers, or am more intelligent, even if I can lecture well, the listeners not paying enough attention, would make my words fall on deaf ears.
But because my husband is willing to comply, and done what he believed to be reasonable, that, was how he was able to, save his own life. He, was his own, life saver! And so, from this, you can see, how important it is, to heed the words of your wives (1 @ a time), and, this man’s life was saved, twice, by his own wife, which made him, even MORE grateful toward her, which makes him respect her even more so.
