The twenty-three year-old officer, Lin from the police department in Hsinbei City, in the parking lot of the subprecinct where he worked, used a gun on himself, died on the scene, the officers who’d heard the shots didn’t find a final note on site, but, the investigative officers’ preliminary investigations found, that he’d lost a lot of money investing in underground commodities, over millions of dollars, and that he was troubled in his relationship as well.
The police disclosed, that Officer Lin last year had taken the advice of a friend, took out a one million dollar loan on his credit line, and invested in an underground commodities, originally he thought he could earn the high amounts of interests, this April, the scam ring went bust by the police, Lin had lost everything he had, and lived off of the $60,000N.T. he made as a police officer, paid back the loans and the interests slowly. Recently he’d broken up with is girlfriend, maybe, it was the strains on his romantic life and on his body too, that’s caused him to commit suicide.
The police found, that patrol officer Lin works in the Second Subprecinct in Zhonghe, at the Ji-Suay Station. Yesterday morning at around ten, Lin told his coworkers that he needed to ride out on an officer’s motorcycle to the substation to handle some business, but instead, he’d ridden to the public cemetery, six meters away from the substation to the parking lot. He didn’t arrive at the substation, and nobody answered his cell, and so, his coworkers used GPS, to locate the place where Lin had parked his motorcycle.
The assistant office manager Wu went to the scene at 11:23 to find him, saw him lying, in a pool of blood, dialed the ambulance immediately, but he had already been dead. The police immediately locked down the site, called on the D.A. and the coroner. After the autopsy, the bullet that killed him was from the right side of his temple, through, and out of the left.
Lin was originally from Hsia-Ying, Tainan, two years ago in October, he was assigned to the subprecinct as a patrol officer, in August of last year, he was transferred to De-Suay Subprecinct, worked as a police officer for two years and a month, his coworkers told, that Lin lives at the station, and after work, he’d played online games to pass the time, would get really talkative with everybody, that they’d detected nothing out of the ordinary with him.
Lin’s parents, and his younger brother rushed up to the mortuary from the south, they’d cried like hell. The family said, that a few days ago, they’d received a call from him, didn’t think that anything was off with him, he’d even told them, that he will be coming home to visit his parents soon, but, now, they’d been separated by life and death already.
And so, this man’s suicide may have been caused by a number of things, his owing money, and some other factors, but, he felt, that he couldn’t get out, so, he’d taken, the easy way out, and, had someone took him to counseling, then, this could’ve been prevented, but nobody noticed anything was wrong, because he’d hid himself too well!
