The seventy-four year-old elderly woman Lin took advantage of her husband’s death, worked with her son, to steal and carved another stamp in her daughter’s name, and wired ALL of the elderly man’s inheritance for his own daughter to herself, the daughter sued her, and she was given a two-month sentence; later on, the elderly woman gave all of her properties to her son, and claimed that she’s frail and elderly, and needed care, sued her daughter for custody, the Hsinbei District Court ruled that she could still sustain her own lifestyle, and didn’t allow it.
The judge pointed out, that Lin had given her son all the cash and property inheritances, causing her to live in poverty, and, if she felt that life was getting hard, she could first, file a disclaim for the inheritances, instead of seeking out alimony from her other children.
The elderly woman, Lin in Banciao had three children with her first husband, Yeou, when Yeou died, the kids were only teenagers, later, she’d remarried, and had a daughter and a son with her second husband; Kuo, her second husband passed away in 2007, left the storefront property, valued at 12 million dollars N.T.s and nearly four million dollars N.T. in cash.
Other than not allowing her daughter to use the storefront, Lin had also, conspired with her son, stole the daughter’s stamp, claimed that she had the agreements of all the inheritees, to wire all of her husband’s cash into her own account; Kuo sued, and the courts last year ruled that Lin was guilty for forging documentations, gave her two months, and Kuo then asked to split her father’s assets again.
Lin wired the a little over a million dollars in cash deposits that she took from the banks, and because Kuo had agreed that she could pay back the little over four million dollars in property to her, and her son didn’t pay a cent; later on, Lin transferred the deeds to her property to under her son’s name, claimed that she didn’t have any money at all, and sued Kuo, and her three children for alimonies.
When the court was in session, Kuo claimed, that her mother originally had over millions of dollars in her savings, that even IF she didn’t get a cent of the inheritances, it wasn’t as if, she couldn’t pay for her own livelihood; and, the children from Yeou stated, that their mother had abandoned them since they were younger, they’d not be willing to, or are, required to, take care of her now.
And so, this, IS the results, of spoiling, being unfair to your young, and this elderly woman still had NOBODY else to blame, BUT herself, and this still just shows, how there’s that sexism that still exists in this modern day world that we’re living in right now!
