Her Mind, Going Adrift…

and no, still NOT my sketch…

Her mind was, going adrift, once again, she’d often, stared into space, at first, it only happens, when nobody’s watching her, when her primary caretaker is away from her, she’d stared, into the blankness, as if, there was, something interesting happening.  Her mind, going adrift, it’d been happening, more and more lately, and, it’d become, harder, and harder, to wake her up and out of that trance state these days.

and no, still not my picture…

Her mind, going adrift, she became, a lost ship, sailing on the high seas, during a huge storm, in the utter darkness, she just, can’t her way back, and, she’d had that, look of fear in her eyes, when we touched her, she’d jumped backwards, when she’d heard us call her name…

Her mind, going adrift, and, she, no longer is, the parent we used to know, the mother who’d, taken care of us, when we were sick, half of the time, she couldn’t even remember, if she’d eaten, or had gone to the bathrooms already!

Her mind, going adrift, there’s no way to prevent this, and, we’d found, that only when those old tunes she’d heard when she was younger came on, it’s like, she’s back, to her old self, and we were able to, get our loved one, back again………
