Tragedy here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Early in the evening last night, Lee had a verbal altercation with his wife, he’d hacked her down, as their eleven-year-old daughter came home from school, Lee opened up the doors and screamed, “Your mother is trying to kill me!”, she saw her father covered in blood, ran downstairs for help. The fire department rushed to the scene, but the door was locked from the inside, the team broke the door down, found the woman already dead, and Lee was found, with a deep gnash on his left arm. The Beitou Subprecinct is treating this as a homicide, and Lee was hospitalized, because of his going in and out of consciousness.
Lee (age 45) and his wife, Fu (age 41) have two daughters and a son, the youngest daughter was only seven month old, the family of five moved to the second floor of an apartment in Beitou District just a year ago, normally, the family doesn’t interact with the neighbors at all. Lee had priors in threats, and had used the covers of a development company, and asked for protection money from the builders, last year, he was sentenced to seven months in prison by the High Courts. Lee’s wife originally worked for a couture shop in Beitou, but, she had psychological difficulties, and had, quit her job to stay at home.
The eldest daughter told the police, that last night she’d gotten home, but the door was locked from the inside, she’d knocked several times, then, that was when her father, covered in blood, came to answer, and hollered that her mother had tried to murder him. The eldest daughter said, that upon seeing her father covered in blood, she’d rushed downstairs to the neighbors to ask for help. As the police and fire department arrived, the door was once again, locked, from the inside, the door was “jammed”, and, as the firefighters took a closer look, it was, Lee’s wife’s body that was blocking the entrance.
As Lee saw the police, he’d started ranting, “I’m off to jail now, and still not afraid!”, there were wounds on Lee’s left arm the police first assessed, that his semiconsciousness was due to his using drugs of drinking alcohol, they’d rushed him to the Taipei VMH to resuscitate. The police found a chopping knife at the scene, based off of understanding, there were, slashes on Lee’s wife’s neck, and that when the murder happened, the children weren’t there to watch.
The neighbors told, that the couple would often fight after drinking, and they’d heard the children begged their father, “Don’t be so mean!” Not long ago, Lee’s wife got drunk and came home late, and Lee locked her out, and, they’d started, screaming at each other, with the door between them.
And so, with a history of violence, this still didn’t end well at all, and, that, is just, another tragedy, somewhere, around the world, and, had the neighbors stepped in, or the other relatives and close families noticed that something wasn’t right with the husband and the wife, then, this could’ve been easily avoided, and now, the children are going to be sent off, into the system………
