Two nights ago, there was a gathering of a certain squad in the fire department station in Taichung, everybody was wasted, and a married lieutenant was accused of raping a female firefighter, the female fighter cried out for help, but, most of the team members were already too wasted, there was nobody there, to help her.
The lieutenant who was involved was sent to the D.A.’s office in Taichung yesterday, after the D.A. interrogated him, they’d set the bail at half a million dollars.
The man in charge of the fire department in Taichung, Hsiao said he felt heart wrenching over this incident of rape, said, that he’d already removed the lieutenant from his post, and he’d become a regular member of the firefighter squad for now.
Hsiao stated that he would “never cover for his men”, that this lieutenant misbehaved himself, and the fire department is holding its discussions today, on what punishments will befall on him, they’re not ruling out suspension and taking him off the status of lieutenant, the internal affairs of the fire department will also be reexamining the rules and the regulations for gatherings at work.
This lieutenant has a daughter and a son, normally, he’d trained his younger squad members on various drills, was very strict at work, had gotten great reviews too; people who knew him were very shocked, as the news of him, raping his female team members two nights ago.
Based off of understanding, this lieutenant took the duties of the person in charge of the squad, because the person in charge of the squad had his night off, he’d asked the coworkers not to get the packed meals, he’d treated everybody at the office to some foods. Later on, this lieutenant brought the foods and the alcohol to the station, and the ten plus members were having a great time at the office.
The group drank until four in the morning, everybody returned to their beds at the stations to sleep, and, this lieutenant was suspected of following a female team member back to her suite, and, forced himself onto her, raped her, the female team member hollered out for help, but, because everybody else was drunk and passed out, nobody heard her calls, or came to her aid.
After the female team member was assaulted, she didn’t know what to do, she’d pressed down the emergency button for everybody to gather up, the other members of the team who were drunk heard the alarm sound off, thought that there was a fire, and all came down, and, as they’d rushed to the office, they’d learned, that their female team member was, raped.
The other team members immediately took her to the hospital for a rape kit, and reported to the police, and the lieutenant who was involved was sent to get processed after the interrogations by the police for breaking the laws on forced sexual act, and the D.A. set the bail for half a million dollars.
So, this, would be a power rape, because the man was in a higher status position, and he’d took advantage of his drunk female team member, and, because alcohol was involved, that, is why this wasn’t avoided, but, this loser still got caught, so, that’s some sort of a justice, in a sense…
