From the newspapers, translated…
On the evening of the sixth of this month, the corporal, Chen didn’t return from his days off, and the very next day, his body was found, on the beach; the Kinmen District Attorney’s Office conducted the investigations for multiple days, and yesterday, they’d declared that the cause of Chen’s death was by accidental fall into the oceans and drowning by accident, they’d ruled out murder.
The D.A. stated, that at 7:28 p.m. on the sixth of this month, Chen rode out on his motorcycle, and, at ten that night, he’d not returned and reported back to the service; on the morning of the seventh, the searchers found the deceased at the ocean front of his former region of service, lying, inside a fishing net.
The D.A. went with the coroner to the scene, and asked the families to provide the records of the calls from the man, along with the location of the cell phone tower, reviewed the surveillance footages on the roads, and, checked everything else, from the records of him, contacting other people, as well as his Facebook account; they’d concluded, that the deceased didn’t get into anything bad with anybody in life and at work.
The D.A. stated, that on that day, Corporal Chen had gone to the spot on his own, nobody was following him; that at the location where his body was found, Chen was talking to his girlfriend, and, the autopsy also showed that there were, no outside forces. And, the deceased was very optimistic, with NO histories of mental illness, and, he didn’t leave a note anywhere, so, they’d ruled out suicide as well.
The D.A. believed, that the deceased had served for a little over six months at the location, was familiar with, and loved the environment, and, after the site was abandoned, he’d still taken his girlfriend, or friends back to the spot to hang out; and, because on the day that he drowned, the waves are coming in full, the wind is blowing, it was dangerous, that the D.A. believed, that the deceased had gone to the spot to walk, but, the accident happened, which he got killed.
And so, this, is why you should NOT go off alone, without telling someone where you’re going, because, had this man told members of his platoon where he’d gone to, then, they may have been able to help find him sooner.
