Let’s see how this one worked itself out, translated…
A man, Jiang, two nights ago, in Keelung’s Zhong-Yi Road, at a certain ice shop, was suspected of shoplifting the owner’s cell phone, but because he felt tortured by his conscience, he’d gone to the police station, and claimed, that he’d found this cell phone, and wanted to give it to the police, but, the officers found that he was lying, and sent Jiang to the D.A.’s office on theft.
The police said, that yesterday at around one in the afternoon, Jiang (age 36) walked into the subprecinct on Zhong-Er Road, claimed that he’d found a cell phone, and wanted to turn it in, and the officer on duty at the office found that something was weird about his facial expressions, instinctively believed, that something was off.
He’d looked closer, and found, that Jiang’s appearances was similar to the video footage of the thief who took the cell phone at the ice shops the night previous, after asking him about it, Jiang finally came out with the truth.
The owner of the ice shop, Lin called the police, that two nights ago at seven-ish, Jiang went to buy something at the shop, while the workers were busying about the shop, the man shoplifted the cell phone she’d left on the counter, when she’d realized that the cell was gone, the man was already gone. The store provided the footage, capturing the suspect, shoplifting the cell phone away to the police.
Jiang told the police, that after he’d gone home, he felt tortured by his guilty conscience, couldn’t sleep the whole night, that, was why he’d used the excuse, of picking up the cell, and had his family accompany him, to hand the cell phone back to its owner. The detective on the case, Pan was examining the video footage, and, he’d compared the features, and found, that Pan looked a lot like the perpetrator, and, he’d gotten into his mind, and, cracked the case.
And this still shows??? If you do something bad, you WILL get caught, no matter what, which means, that you shouldn’t do anything bad to begin with, and, now, this man, for his “tiny moment of lapse in judgment”, will spend time in JAIL, and, was that worth it? Of course N-O-T!
