Remnants of a Hurricane…

and no, not my photograph…

It (the hurricane) had, left a path of destruction, as it’d, visited this town…

And, although, the storms are, long gone now, we’re still worried, that the rickety roof will collapse, at any time, although we’d, gotten it fixed back up already!

The remnants of a hurricane, how, do we, get over the emotional, psychological scars, that the hurricane that was just here not too long ago had left behind?  After all, the memories are still, CLEAR in our minds, aren’t they?

The remnants of a hurricane, that, is what, IS, left of, what we used to know, and everything WAS destroyed by the raging wind and the pouring wind, it’d, caught us both, off-guard, we were, too unprepared for its “arrival”, and, in the end, we couldn’t, keep this house of ours on stable grounds, and, because we only thought about saving ourselves, after all, who do we watch out for?  Who’s number ONE on our separate “lists”?  Exactly!

So, the remnants of a hurricane, what, are they?  More than, TWO broken hearts, a torn down SHACK that used to be our home, oh, and, SEVERAL, DEAD bodies, and, who’s gonna, pick that up, I wonder???
