Including Pop Music into the Music Education Curriculum at School

This, is what they’re talking about here, including pop music into the music education curriculum at school, and, I can already see problems that will happen because of this…

First, the definition of “pop” is constantly changing, so, what’s considered “popular” today, may or may not still be seen as “popular” tomorrow, or the next month, even, so, the first question I have, for this reevaluation of changing the music education curriculum is this: will you write those textbooks again, if let’s say, some artists whose music is widely listened to right now, lost their “heat”?  And, do you know HOW much it’ll take, the department of education, to REPRINT, REDISTRIBUTE all those brand new textbooks to the students out there?  And, guess where ALL the money for that comes out of???  The MIDDLE class taxpayers’ paychecks, that’s where!

And, I get, that you’re trying to make that connection with the students who are in school right now, but, don’t forget, in the end, when they get “tossed” into the real world, they will be the ones, learning, working hard, to ADAPT to the societies ways of doing things, and, if you tailor made to their requests now, how, will they learn, that they’re NOT the center of the universe, that they’re NOBODIES? And, wouldn’t that also, create, a BUNCH of self-centered, little EGOMANIACS?  That, would definitely bring problems to this society in the near future, wouldn’t it???
