The Anti-Elitist Way of Education, Allowing the “Bad” Students to Shine, Making Comparisons with One Another Adds to the Unhappiness

Denmark has a very different “anti-elitist way of education”; rather than helping to cultivate the one-percent of the elites, they’d focused more on the ninety-nine percent of the others.  And so, the schools focused on the lectures that the ninety-nine percent of the students can understand, instead of designing those hard-to-answer test questions, saved for the one-percent geniuses, to make sure, that “no students ARE left behind”.

The Danish writer, Malina Hilde viewed that the concepts of “anti-elitism”, emphasis on “participation” instead of “winning” as stemming from the ultimate goals of the Denmark culture.  The Danish people defined happiness as “Feeling satisfied, enjoying life”, and believed that what would kill their happiness as “comparing oneself to others”.

The Asians would split the students into good or bad based off of the grades they’d made, for the students ages fourteen to eighteen in Denmark, if they’re disinterested in the academics, they can choose the “school of life” for themselves, this allowed the “bad” students to shine out.

The anti-elitist way of education in Denmark had sparked up great debate.  Three years ago, the National Denmark Television channel produced a documentary, comparing the fifteen-year-old students from Denmark, with students in China of the same age group, and found, that the latter had better academic grades, and self-disciplines.  Those who are against the way of education in Denmark thought, that the Danish way of non-elitist education methods would cause the competitiveness of the people to lose its edge.

Hilde said, facts showed, that the Danish way of “anti-elitist” education methods had made a lot of outstanding people in various areas of expertise, no less than the other nations’ number of experts in the various areas.

Denmark, as a nation, do not emphasize money, but, it’s the seventh richest country in the world.  Hilde believed, that if most people can “become who they want to become”, then, happiness will give off of a more positive energy, helping everybody reach her/his own potentials, and thus, reach the goal of success, viewed by the general public.

And so, because the emphasis is take away from M-O-N-E-Y, that, is why this group of people is satisfied, because, in reality, the more money you have, the less happy you’ll become, because you’d have more desires, and, not every single one of those desires can be filled, and that, is why you’d feel dissatisfied and unhappy, but, if you stop emphasizing on the materialisms and start focusing on the more important values, then, you’ll know, that you can be happy, with very little too.
