A Man Got into a Verbal Altercation with His Ex-Wife, Strangled His Own Eight-Year-Old Son Until He’d Passed Out, Was Indicted

A man, Fang, got into a verbal altercation with his ex-wife, because his ex wouldn’t leave as he’d asked her too, he was suspected of using a dog leash, wrapping it around their eight-year-old son’s neck to threaten her, but, he’d pulled the leash tighter and tighter, causing his son to pass out, the D.A. charged him based off of assault.  After Fang’s son was sent to the emergency room, he was okay, and the child had been placed by the social services department of Hsinbei City.

The D.A.’s office and the police investigated, that the man, Fang (age 36), of Hsinbei City, after the divorce with his wife, had custody of their son, and the divorced couple were still in contact with one another because of the child.  On the early morning hours of March 6^th this year, Fang and his ex-wife got into a verbal altercation over some smaller matters, as the arguments escalated, the son who was asleep on the second floor woke, went down stairs to see what was happening.

The police pointed out, that back then, Fang didn’t want to continue arguing with his ex, when he’d asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t, he’d lost control, asked his son to lie down, and used a cloth leash and wrapped it around his own son’s neck, used his own eight-year-old son as hostage, to try to force his ex-wife to leave.

The child’s mother tried to stop him, they’d started, pushing and shoving each other, Fang disregarded how scared his own son became, pulled on the cloth on his own son’s neck tighter and tighter, causing the boy to pass out, because he couldn’t breathe.

After the child was rushed to the hospital, he was okay, but, there were a seven and a ten-centimeter bruise on both sides of his neck.  The Social Services Department of Hsinbei City was notified by the hospital, they’d placed the child in emergent custody.

As the police were conducting their investigations, Fang’s ex-wife testified that he loved his son very much, that this, was the very first time he’d done something that rash, that she and her son are willing to forgive him.  But because the child’s custody already belonged to the Hsinbei City’s Social Services Department, and the Hsinbei City government refused to drop the charges, the D.A. prosecuted the father based off of assault charges.

The person in charge of the anti-domestic violence and sexual assault department of the Social Services Department, Hsu stated, that the child is an only child, that as they’d placed him in a group home, he’d shown signs of maladaptedness, but he’s adjusted fine now.

The center of domestic violence prevention is offering counseling to Fang’s parents right now, to teach them how to effectively teach and discipline their son, and used a milder manner, to help the couple get through their differences, and, in the future, if the evaluations showed that both parents are improved, and the child has the instinct of self-preservation, the social services department would consider letting the child get back to his parents.

So here, we have two parents (ADULTS, hello, hello, hello???) who LOST control, and the loser just took his OWN flesh-and-blood as a “hostage”, are you FUCKING shitting me here?  What KIND of a father would do that to his own young?  Oh yeah, one without emotional control, and one that’s abusive and in this case, this man IS both!
