The boy scout club of public high school in Miaoli had a conference, to initiate in the new officers, the twelve lower classmen who were newly initiated into the boy scout, because of related errors, were punished to do physical exercises by the upper classmen, three to four hundred times continuously, the very next day, six members showed signs of rhabdomyolysis, and four of them were sent into the ICU, but they’re all, without life-threatening conditions.
The principal of the Miaoli High School, Huang stated, that the preliminary investigation showed that the upper classmen weren’t bullying the lower classmen, but enforcing the rules of discipline that the club held itself to; the traditions of the Boy Scout was questioned, this scared a ton of the students, all of them couldn’t imagine, that there’s this adverse effect of doing too much physical exercises. He’d said, that when the students were punished to do the physical exercises, if they’d not felt well, they could skip the rituals, that the students were probably trying to show that they’re capable, that, was why they’d done too much of the workouts, the school felt awful about it, and will take all responsibilities, the school officials are discussing how to handle the aftermath of this incident.
The six graduating members of the club on the morning of the third, were handing off their positions in the club to their younger schoolmates, the twelve named new students were told to do three, to four hundred physical exercises; after they’d arrived home, they’d found their bodies, completely sore.
They’d thought, that they had just, worked out too much, that a few days of rest would get themselves better, but instead, two days ago, six of the students found, that their urine had turned darker, and they’d not urinated as much as they had, and, they were taken to the local hospitals in the region, into the emergency rooms, and, four of the hospitalized individuals showed signs of mild liver function failure, and mild kidney failure, they were sent to the ICU, and, after two days, they will be, okay to go home; the other two individuals had minor conditions, after they were given a medical drip, they were sent home.
The school got to the bottom of why six members of the boy scout were absent, they’d taken the six other students who weren’t in the hospitals for check up to the hospitals, and, one of them had a higher indicator of rhabdomyolysis, was hospitalized, the other five students were okay.
The parents had a lot of say about the kids being punished to perform physical activities for three, four hundred times, some say, that when he was in the army, their superiors only asked them to do fifty at a time, that the higher classmen had asked the younger classmen to do so many of the exercises, if it was bullying, the parents will pursue the upper classmen in court for sure.
