Pushing Forward in Life

and no, still NOT my photograph

After watching a movie, translated…

I’d rarely watched non-English movies, but, “Instructions Not Included” had, touched my heart deeply, the humorous dialogue, showed the endless passions toward life.

The male protagonist, when he was younger, was trained, to be brave by his own father, his father told him, “Fear is like the wolf in nature, if you appear scared, it will, attack you.”  Back then, he didn’t understand this, and, whenever he’d felt the fears surfacing up, he’d allowed the wolves of his darkness, taunted him.

With his daughter, the male protagonist worked alone in the U.S. as a body double, worked hard, to put foods on the tables, just to build a dream world for his own daughter.  The lifestyle of a body double, he could see that wolf called “fear” come towards him a lot, he’d challenged himself again, and again, surpassed himself again, and again, successfully proved his own father’s belief of, FACING it with bravery can beat the fears off.

He didn’t want his daughter to live with the regrets of not having a mother, so, he’d made up a story about a super mommy who is all over the world, kicking bad villains’ asses, using an unpredictable manner, to teach his own daughter, satisfied his daughter’s endless imaginations, which helped shaped his own daughter’s optimistic views toward life.  But, behind that endless love this father showed to his daughter, there was, yet, another HUGE secret, the little girl was diagnosed with an incurable illness, and, at anytime, she would fall asleep, and never to wake back up again.  The desperate father kept watch over this curse of life and death in an instant, and, woke up, each morning, with hope, and, fell asleep, in worries and fears, he’d, raised his own daughter, bravely and strongly.

The calls of death came, when his child turned seven, and, the seven short years of life was, as enriching as seventy years.  He’d kept, the precious memories of the two people he’d loved the most, his father taught him how to be ready to face an assortment of challenges at all times, and, his daughter taught him to deal with the ever-changing natures of life, and, at the same time, how to live, without her.

The most charming part of life is in it’s uncertainties, and unpredictableness, you are lucky enough, to become families this lifetime, then, live with each other, as families, without the regrets.  There’s no rehearsals in life, you can have do-overs, nor can life be like an eraser, rubbing everything clean, you must, live every day happy, passing each day with hope in your hearts, then, you wouldn’t have wasted your time here.

And so, this, would be the inspirations one gets from watching a movie, and, life IS unpredictable, you don’t know when you’re number is up, and, because there’s that question mark of when life’s coming to an end, you must, LIVE your each and every day, with hopes, and live your lives, fully, that way, you wouldn’t have, wasted it all away…

not mine either…
