The Vatican on the third of this month, scolded the Polish father Kyrysztof Charamsa’s choosing the eve of the Bishops’ Gathering to be “Very Serious and Disrespectful”, declared that he will be stripped of his title of the position he’d held in the Vatican City, as well as his teaching post at the seminary, and handed the position of the priesthood to the bishop, in charge of his local regions.
The newspaper reported, that the spokesperson for the Vatican said, that Kyrysztof Charamsa’s coming out of the closet, is very serious and irresponsible, and it’d imposed the unneeded pressures of the press for the bishops’ gatherings. In the statement, Kyrysztof Charamsa will NO longer be holding his senior position of the CDF of the Vatican, and he was relieved of his teaching duties at multiple Pontifical universities, as for whether or not he’ll be stripped of his priesthood, they’re leaving that to be decided by the local authority bishop of his area.
The 43-year-old Kyrysztof Charamsa accepted the Late Post interview from Italy, as well as the Polish version of Newsweek, and told of his reasons for coming out of the closet, Kyrysztof Charamsa said “I know that doing this (coming out of the closet), I will be relieved of my duty of god, that, was my life.” Kyrysztof Charamsa said that he wanted to challenge the erratic belief of the church members’ beliefs, pointed that most of the Catholic officials are all “homosexual haters or homophobes”.
The Bishop Conference will be held from October 4th to 25th at the Vatican, and, they will be discussing how the Catholic Church preaches to the families in the sermons, including their attitudes toward male and female homosexuals, and other radical issues.
So, had this priest not come out of that closet at this critical time period, maybe, the rest of the Catholic Church would be more accepting to him, but, because homosexuals are viewed as a SIN by the church, that makes these “different” people fear showing their true selves.
