Thank You, Grandma

nope, not my picture here…

Translated…

Actually, she bears NO resemblance to my mom, but, her slightly hunched back, and that smile that’s weathered through the years, it’d reminded of my mother, who’d just, passed away nine months ago.

When I’d made my request, I’d not imagine that the elderly woman would agree.  She’d taken off her gloves, and carelessly, tossed her cane to the side of the road, and, the sound of the cane hitting the ground made my heart bloom.  Then, she’d steadied herself, using her left arm, on the potted plants, with her right arms, held my extended arm tightly.

My tears, circled around my eyes like those beads.  Gladly, my sunglasses were big enough, that the elderly woman can only see my smiles.

So, this, is what happens, in an interaction with a stranger, she’d reminded you of your own mother, who’d just passed away not too long ago, and, through that interaction, the woman felt closer, to her mother who had passed on nine months back.
