Unsuccessful, each, AND every single LAST one of his attempts were! His attempts to exorcise the past, were to, NO avail, because it’s been years, since he first started to, cast the past away, be gone, he’d told it, and, it (the past) would, step away for a short bit, then, it’d, come back to him again!
His attempts to exorcise the past was not at all successful, for he’d only wanted to get rid of it, but, without digging deep, where the pains, the betrayals had been, buried, long, long ago, he couldn’t get to the roots, and pull that “weed” up, to kill it for once, and for all.
His attempts to exorcise the past, he’d tried it, more than a million times already, in fact, he’s headed toward his billionth tries right now, and yet, he’d still not found a viable way, a method, that would work, for once, and for all, because he’d just, kept trying to kill his own past, without first, looking at what had happened to him, working through the betrayals, the angers, to finally, stop, letting it get to him.
