Can’t believe that it’s been a year since you’d been gone now, and, this marks the FIRST family holiday without you, and yeah, I was, a bit, hesitant, when they’d invited me to go, but hey, I’d locked myself up, kept the world away, since you’d been gone, it’s ‘bout time that I get out there again.
First holiday without you, as I arrived to the restaurant where the family was gathering, as everybody saw me, I can feel that tension inside of them, but, to not feel awkward, I sat down. Nobody talked to me, guess that they didn’t want to strike a chord that’ll get me in tears again…
First holiday without you, I’d gotten used to living from day to day without you, I just, didn’t realize how hard it would be on the holidays, for everywhere I go, everywhere I look, people are with their loved ones, and here I am, all alone, without you.
First holiday without you, it was, very difficult, but I’d still, got through it, I had to, because I couldn’t, let myself be trapped, in the depressive state of mind, of missing you, plus, you’d been gone so long, it’s time that I move on………
