From the newspapers, translated…
A man, Liu from Hsinbei City at the end of March saw that his wife fell to the floor and unable to get back up, he’d ignored her, the very next day, he’d found, that she wasn’t breathing anymore, that, was when he’d called the police, claimed that he’d stopped delivering food to her for two days, he was arrested, the D.A. believed that Liu’s wife died of renal failure, and not starvation, so, they’d dropped the charges against him.
The indictment papers stated, that Liu (age 53) has a handicap manual, lived alone with his wife, at the bottom of this year in March, he’d gone into the bedrooms to check on his wife, found her lying on the floor, thought she was sleeping, until noon the next day, when he’d gone back into the bedrooms to check, found that something wasn’t right with his wife, that, was when he made the call to the police. The police came to the scene, found that Liu’s wife is clearly dead, and charged him based off of death caused by abandonment, sent him to the D.A. to be processed.

- There are so many ways, that this case could’ve worked out, like the couple can hire an extra set of hands, an outside help source, to help take care of the wife, and this could’ve been avoided, but, because this couple lived below the poverty lines, that, is why they didn’t have the resources, and that, was why this had happened…
