The Future of This Country is in Your Hands, Partying Hard for Four Years of College, You are Making Us Very Nervous

Observations of the younger generations in this country, written by an associate professor of law from the Front Page Sections, translated…

This is the HIT discussion topic in the news lately, on the basic living expenses of the college students for four years, at about a million dollars, this, is a shocking truth, but, this amount had included the money from the parents, the money the students made from part-timing, as well as from the student loans, so, WHAT, exactly are those average college students busying about every single day?

I believe, that there are still, some college students, upon entering into college, are working hard in their academics, but, after the freshmen orientations, the older schoolmates, through the various performances, games, for the freshmen to get to know one another, then, in order to increase the interactions among these freshmen, they’d find a clear day or two, to host a campout for the freshmen.  Then, there’s the welcoming dance, because you must be within arms’ distance to one another, in order, to effectively socialize.

The first month after school started, almost every single day, at lunch hour, there would be freshmen sports competitions, and, through practicing together as a team, entering into competitions, and cheering the teams on, it will, increase the cohesiveness of the bond, and, being absent for a couple of days from classes, it’s only natural and necessary; and, as the Mid-Autumn Festival rolled around, there would be the entire department barbeque.  And, all of the above were, sponsored by the separate departments, and, locally, there would be events as well, where the older schoolmates told the freshmen which professors’ classes are easy, and who’s a great lecturer, etc., etc., etc.

And, if you’re only attending these functions, you’d have, spent a LOT of time, and what’s worse, for every one of these functions, there needed to be helpers, planners of these events, caterers, etc., etc., etc., and other than offering services to those who are in school at the moment, during the winter and summer breaks, there’s still those camps, to help get more potential students, the various seminars or camps sponsored by the different majors, these activities last for about a week, but the time it takes to plan one event is about two months.  Some of the students got involved, after measuring what they’re capable of, but, there are still those who’d gone with the crowd, attended EVERY single function there is.

There are purposes for these activities, sure, to establish your connections, to improve your interpersonal relations, and, in the planning and executing the events, you’re learning to take responsibilities, and, some of these activities DOES involve the specific majors’ knowledge too, but, other than working hard, getting involved in all of these events, how can you possibly still find the time, for what you’re in college for, the true purpose of college: getting an education?

Other than the assortment of school and outside-of-school functions, there’s also the involvement in extracurricular clubs too—and the gaming cards systems is no longer a patent for elementary school children, and, on top of that, part-timing, love, these are also must master courses in college too, how can we have a blank page in our lives, and so, the students had, poured their hearts, and souls, and spent all their time on these things, and, if the movement to occupy the legislature house was on, add another month to the already spent time.

And, when you arrived home, you should, probably study now, shouldn’t you?  A lot of students would stay out until late, and the first thing that they do as they went back to their rooms is turn on the computer, then, keeping themselves logged on the entire night, using Facebook, ptt, LOL, until the midnight hours, to even, the early morning hours of the dawn, and, after they switched off the laptops, they’d flipped on their cell phones, and, continue on.

Sometimes when I think about it, if I must place my life in the hands of these doctors-in-training, if we must trust those students who majored in engineering or construction, to BUILD up this nation, I’d get, real scared!

And so, this, is from the observations on the FRONT lines, as the writer is a professor, and, she’d encountered a ton of students who took the methods of PARTYING hard for FOUR years as their mottos for college education, and so, that, is why students are failing, and in this case, the professors are not the ones to blame, I mean, sure, there are still a TON of professors who can’t teach out there, but, the quality of the students is, a HUGE problem too!

and, here’s what THAT looks like for those of you who needs a “visual”…
