Hsieh, Lee, the two men set up a scam ring, posed as handsome men, targeted Asian single cougars, first they’d contacted the women from online, getting the women to fall for them, then, used the excuse of investments and how they wanted to save up money so they can marry them as excuses, and the scam artist group had even had manuals, teaching the men how to get the women “hooked”, the police arrested six members, and at the preliminary examinations of the case, they estimated that there were, over a hundred of ladies who had fallen prey.
The Taichung Detective Squad Eight Team awhile ago, followed a tip which led them to arrest the head, Hsieh, and Lee, along with four other men who worked for the scam rings in an apartment in Taichung.
The six men who were arrested are in their thirties, they all lived together, so they could “work” together, from noon to midnight, they’d used their separate laptops, and managed to find single ladies who are economically able in their thirties and forties, to scam them.
The officer who handled the case said, that the members of the scam ring went online, to find handsome lads, or impersonate themselves as managers of investment banking, and used an instant messaging program to scam; and the group provided the entire set of “women’s psychology”, along with the steps to handle the ladies, asked the members to first, read the manuals thoroughly.
And, they had specific rules for chatting, like how many hours they would chat with the ladies each and every day, what subject matter to bring up, when to ask for money, and, there would be precise and step-by-step instructions on how t, for instance, they must first tell their sob stories of how they didn’t have a good family background, or had lost in love, using notebooks, to take down the notes; and, after the ladies added them as friends, they’re to not profess their love first.
For the first week, the men had collected the victims’ basic information, to find out what good qualities the ladies had, and turn that into reasons that they’d fallen for her on, on day eight to fourteen, there would be flirtations, hints, to professions of love, then, chat with the ladies for twenty minutes to an hour each and every day, continue for one to two months, and, after they’d “gone steady”, the men are refer to the ladies as “honey”, but, not chatting more.
A while after the women got hooked, then, the men are to tell the women, that they wanted to save up on the funds for marriage, wanted the ladies to wire some amount, and, after the amounts are received, the men would vanish. There are women who, after they were scammed, still wouldn’t give up, kept asking, “Do you really love me?” “Did you meet someone else?”, they had absolutely NO clue that they got scammed.
The police said, that this scam ring was set up in mid-July, and, the victims are located across the globe, and the women who fell victim had sent the scam ring anywhere from ten thousand to forty thousand dollars U.S.
Yeah, uh, this, is still WHAT being too desperate gets you, and, how many times you must hear or see this sort of news, before you stop falling for it, or, must you, get SCAMMED, lose EVERYTHING once, before you’re wide awake???
