Kindness in the world, translated…
That day while I was waiting for the bus, I saw a young couple, slowly, walking toward the bus stop. Because the man was using a cane, my eyes followed them automatically. As the two of them came closer, I’d realized, that the woman next to him was also visually impaired.
As I was wondering, if I need to help them out, when I’d turned my head around, the woman was already gone. And, it’d, hit me, that the woman wasn’t his friend at all, she was only, a kind soul, that helped him to the bus stop.
At this time, the second kindhearted soul entered the scene, the four, five elderly people who were waiting for the bus went up and asked him, where he was going, which number bus he needed to take, at the end, they’d told him, “Don’t worry, awhile later, I’ll tell you”. And, those who were sitting down, waiting for the bussed on the benches all of a sudden all got up, held his hands, to lead him to sit down.
Awhile later, the bus came in, a gentleman led his hands closer to the bus, originally, I thought that they were friends, nope, the third kind soul entered. The bus door swung open, kind person number three then explained to the bus driver what was going on, helped the blind man get on the bus. And that, was still not yet the END of this relay of compassion, a woman on the bus extended her arms, led him to the empty seat next to her.
As the bus was leaving the station, my heart was filled with this feeling of bliss, because of the gentle nature of the people on this land that I’m living in.
So, this, is from an observer’s perspective, because someone saw that the blind man may be in need of aid, and offered the assistance to him, then, the act and the thought of kindness managed to infect someone else, then, someone else, and that, is how kindness gets passed around.
