Encounters from day to day, translated…
Riding the bicycle to and from school is a part of my routine from day to day, every morning I’d set out at 6:30, I’d get out of school by 5:10 in the afternoons. One day after school, I’d gone to the bicycle racks to pick up my bicycle, ready to head home. But, the moment I’d stepped down on the pedals, the chains on my bike fell off! Other than feeling unlucky, I can only place my bicycle by the side of the road, and I’d started wondering if I am to walk, all the way home.
All of a sudden, a man in a white vest appeared before me, he’d stared at my bicycle, said, “young lady, the chain is misplaced on your bicycle.”
After that, he’d walked toward his small blue pickup, a few minutes later, he came back with a key, and, used the keys, to lift the chain, BACK to its original position. I’d thanked him, and, watched, as the uncle who drove the pickup truck, leave with his truck.
On the ride home, I kept thinking about this uncle who was my angel, I was filled with joy. Turns out, there are, still people who help others, like this uncle, and this place is still, filled with kindness after all.
This, is a random act of kindness, from a stranger, who saw someone stranded by the side of the road and decided to lend her a helping hand, and, although it may be just an ordinary act to this man, but, it’d meant the world to this young lady!
no, still NOT my photograph…
