Started in Her Middle School Years, She’d Been Donating to the Causes of Helping Children in Poverty, and, She’d Done It Continuously for Twenty Years Continuously

“This, is the most beautiful kind of accompaniment in life”, the thirty-six year-old, unmarried, Ming-Ling Liao, from her first year as a middle school student, had made the $700N.T. monthly donations with her fellow classmates to WorldVision Organization, to help a Bengalese girl to get educated, after she’d graduated from middle school, she’d started funding for the education of younger children in less fortunate areas of the world, and, she’d continued this work to date, for twenty years, and, to date, she’d helped a total of FIVE children in and out of the country.

Liao said, that one day, her first year middle school homeroom teacher shared with her class about how the World Vision Organization in Taiwan was helping children, she’d heard how lacking of resources those third-world nations are, at first, she and six other classmates put up the money to donate to a five-year-old Bengalese girl.

“A flower for you, hope you will be happy and well”, she’d said, that she’d received her first Christmas card from abroad, the little girl who was helped by her drew a flower on the card.  Although it was just, simple Christmas card, she’d cherished it up to now, it’d reminded her, to NEVER forget the heart of helping others that she had at the beginning.

Because of family, Liao is currently, in charge of providing the living expenses of her two young third and fifth grade nieces, one year, she’d even quitted her job, to take care of her family.  She said, when the notices to pay for the health insurances and the donations came together, she’d still chosen to take care of the donations first.

There was an entire year when she’d fallen ill, she’d gone to the pharmacies to buy the medicines, didn’t dare go see the doctors, just to help the children finish their college education.  Although, this, was a bad example, but, she’d not regretted her decision, because “the satisfaction of the heart can’t come with having more money.”

So, this young woman saw a need, and she’d answered the calls, and, she’d kept providing for these children, sponsoring them, helping them better their lives, and, she’d done this, since she was in her middle school years, when she was still a child herself.
