A New Pair of Used Shoes…

A picture I’d found online…

This, was what was given to her, by the volunteers who’d visited her village, and, she was, very excited, for this brand “old” (instead of “brand new”???) present to her.

A new pair of used shoes, you and I had, tons of pairs, in our world, where we’d had an excess of everything we don’t really need, and, we still, buy more, and more, piling those shoeboxes, filled with our sneakers, running shoes, aerobics shoes, golf shoes, stilettos, high-heels, boots, etc., etc., etc., etc. up to our ceilings, but, for that little girl, it was, a hard to come by, generous, gift…

A new pair of used shoes, waited for her, by the doorway, and, as she’d arrived home from school, the social workers who’d made their regular visits where inside her house, talking with her mom, and, they’d pointed her, to her new pair of used shoes, donated by someone who’d either, grown out, or no longer needed them.  At the sight of her new pair of used shoes, she was ecstatic, and so grateful too!

A new pair of used shoes, it only takes a little bit of kindness, a small act, to make some kid’s day, and, there are, a lot of children in this world, deprived, of what they’d needed, and, living from day to day is, getting harder and harder for them still, and, they’re still very optimistic, just like children are…
