The Professor Wanted a Divorce, His Wife Splashed Strong Acid on Him, He May Become Blind

How love became retaliation, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A fifty-two year old professor, Hsian, who asked his wife of twenty years for divorce, but she wouldn’t allow.  The two started arguing early yesterday morning on the matter again, his wife held a grudge, after he was asleep, she’d splashed strong acid on him, causing burns on his face, his chest, he risked becoming blind.  Afterwards, the wife cried and turned herself into the police, the police booked her based off of serious injuries, the D.A. inquired her, and, sent her home afterwards.

“I really do love him.”  Peng told the police, she didn’t know how to make her husband stay, and, whenever she thought about him leaving, she couldn’t take it, “I can only hurt him then”, but, right after she’d splashed the acid she was regretful, didn’t know what to do.

The police found, that Hsian and Peng were college sweethearts, after he’d received his doctorate, he’d started teaching at a university, and she was her teach assistant, is a good partner for him in marriage, and in the workforce too, after they married, they’d cohabited in the single’s dormitory at school too.

But recently, they’d become distant, Hsian had asked Peng for divorce multiple times, but Peng wouldn’t let him, believed that it was because he was having an affair, and suspected that his childhood sweetheart was the one who came between them, and they’d started arguing more and more.

Yesterday at around two in the morning, Hsian and Peng started arguing about divorce again, afterwards, Hsian went to bed.  Peng had gone to the roof of the dorm to hang up the clothes, and, afterwards, she’d brought down a bucket of thirty-two kiloliters of sulfuric acid mixtures, started pouring down her husband’s head, causing areas above his chest and his face to suffer serious burns, Hsian woke from the pains, ran outside to call for help, “Help, I can’t see!”

As the police and fire department arrived, Hsian was seriously injured, but he was still lucid.  After Peng pour acid on her husband, she was regretful, cried all the way to the subprecinct, to turn herself in, kept crying and twitching.  The officers saw how emotional she was, couldn’t carry on the interrogation, could only allow her friend to accompany her.

And so, this, is how love became revenge, and, the woman reacted to the fact that her husband wanted a divorce so strongly probably because she felt that she’d given everything she has to the marriage, and, now he wanted a divorce, so she felt uneven, and that, was why she took such drastic measures, in the heat of the moment, she’d poured strong acid on her husband.
