Five Adolescents Wanted to Go to Danshui, Got Caught, with Their Stolen Rides

Five adolescents from Taoyuan awhile back wanted to visit the sightseeing place at Danshui, so they’d stolen three motorcycles in Taoyuan, without wearing their helmets, rode up north during the nights, all the way to Danshui, two of the adolescents were pulled over by police, and told the police that there were three others, and all five adolescents were taken into custody and processed in juvenile court.

The police stated that at nine o’clock in the morning on the eleventh of this month, the patrol squad found two adolescents riding together on a motorcycle close to the MRT Station, and neither was wearing helmets, and the officer was keen on noticing how the keys were in the ignition, and suspected that they’d stolen the motorcycles and pulled them over.  The youths realized that the police was closing in on them on the road, they’d tried to run away, but, because they weren’t familiar with the region, they went into a dead-end street and was caught.

After the two teens were taken in, they’d told the officers, that “there are three others with us”.  The youth stated, that they’d wanted to have a joyride in Danshui, “We rode all the way here, and no police stopped us at all”.  The three accomplices received the notices from the police, ten minutes later, they’d ridden in, on the two other stolen motorcycles, turned themselves in.

The police disclosed, as the five youths were heading into the station, they were still laughing and joking, kept saying, that “these old motorcycles have similar keys, just turn the keys, and start the ignition!”, it’s as if they feel proud of how they were able to steal the motorcycles, and, afterwards, they were all sent to juvenile court for theft.  As the three owners of the motorcycles received calls from the police, they had no idea that their motorcycles were stolen, hurried over to the station to pick them up.

And so, because these teens have NO sense of consequences, that, was why they’d stolen the motorcycles, and besides, the teenage brain isn’t developed enough so that they would foresee the consequences of their own actions, but hopefully, this getting caught this time will deter them from doing something like this again!
