Here comes the V-E-R-D-I-C-T, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Chen suspected his wife of being unfaithful to him, at the start of this year, he’d told her, that he wanted to die with her, and managed, to stab his own eldest son who tried to protect his mother to death; the hospital found, that he showed signs of mental disorder, and the Shihlin District Courts believed that he fitted the requirements for a reduced sentence, charged him with murder and mandated that he serve in jail for fourteen years.
Chen’s wife in June had divorced him, she’d told the press, that her ex was “too awful”, and complained of how light the sentence he received, feared, that in a short couple of years, if Chen made parole, the rest of her family would get hurt. She’d told, that her ex had abused her for a long period of time, and to this day, she still had the scars on her head, on her arms, to show for it, and, in court, she didn’t dare scream out at him, fearing that he might retaliate after he gets released from jail. The girlfriend of the deceased who had been discussing the matter of marriage with him said, that Chen knows how to “put on a show”, and, he’s really excellent at “crying, kneeling, and begging for forgiveness”.
The verdict pointed out, that Chen (age 51) has two sons and a daughter with his wife, after the children become of age, they’d left home one by one. Chen’s wife has a noodle stand at the marketplace, Chen is unemployed, and would ask for spending cash from his wife, and he’d even suspected that she was cheating on him, didn’t get along with his own family of origin either.
On the early morning of January 4th, as Chen’s wife came home from finishing up selling the noodles, her eldest took his girlfriend home to visit, Chen read his “last will” in front of his son, claimed that he will “take his wife with him”. The son heard, and told him, “You want to die, go right ahead, you just kept taking money from mom anyway!”
Not long thereafter, Chen shouted back, “I have a history of mental illness, and I will get found guilty for murder”, then, he’d picked up the fruit knife he bought a day ago, and started chasing his eldest who was downstairs, “Do you plan to Taser me?”, then, he’d picked up the knife, and stabbed his own son in the chest, and abdomen, and, the eldest son died on the way to the hospital. Until when the police arrived on scene, Chen said remorsefully, “I’d just wanted to teach him a lesson, I truly hope, that I was the one who died”.
Wow, if that’s NOT an A-C-T, I don’t know what is! And, this, is another family tragedy, that could’ve easily been avoided, but still wasn’t, and we still have here, fathers, murdering their own sons, and this LOSER DARED used his mental instability as a “defense”, yeah, let’s see how the JUDGE will find you then!
