The couple, the Songs in Taichung would often leave their underage children of eleven, ten and three at home alone on their own, on the ninth, the Songs went to Tainan in the morn, the children are hungry, the eldest child called his mother, Chien, who was already divorced from his dad, Chien felt bad about how this keeps happening to her children, she’d notified the police, Song told, that they’re not making it, and the oldest and the second child kept arguing nonstop, wanted the social workers to place the two older kids, and were only willing to take back their youngest.

The Social Service Department in Taichung pointed out, that Song and his current wife, Wang were forced to take fifteen parenting classes each for leaving their young unattended in May, and that they’d done it again, and this time, they were to be fined anywhere from $3,000 to $15,000 N.T.s, and must take the parenting course again.

The police said, that the eldest and the second of the three children were children of Song and Chien, the couple divorced three years ago, and Song married Wang, and had the youngest child, but the two of them would often leave their children unattended, and leave, and, Chien would often get calls from her children, saying how hungry they were, and she’d had to drive for thirty minutes, to go from the city of Taichung, to rush to Taiping District, to buy the foods for them.

Song’s father-in-law, Wang went to spent Father’s Day on the eighth with them, and, on the nineth, Song and his wife took her father back home, and left the three young kids home alone again, and, at noon, the kids went to the super convenience shop and bought the meals with the coupons from school, but in the evening, they got hungry again, and so, the eldest child could only call up his mom for help.

And, Chien called the police for it, and, as the police rushed to the household, hearing the children calling out, “I’m so hungry!”, and, the assistant manager of the local subprecinct, Chiu, and the patrol officer, Tsai took the three kids to the station, and gave them some instant noodles.

The Song’s got the call from the police, and on the evening of the ninth, around nine o’clock, rushed to the subprecinct from Tainan.  Song explained, that at six o’clock in the morning when they’d left the house, he didn’t want to wake the children up, and besides, the kids would usually buy foods for themselves, plus, the parents thought they’d be home that evening, so they didn’t leave any food or any money.

The social workers told the Songs, that they’d already broken the laws of not leaving children home alone, and related charges, that the Social Services Department may need to take the kids away and place them, but, the parents said okay, said that they’d not made much money, and that the two boys would get too rowdy, and were only willing to take the three-year-old boy back with them.

Chien said, that the custody of her children went to her ex, and that she is barely making her own ends meet, that she couldn’t possibly find ways to keep her two young sons, and so, the social workers placed the two young boys for now.

Wow, talk about your irresponsible parents here, first and foremost, the parents BROKE the LAW on NOT leaving young children at home on their own, and, when the police inquired, they’d made up the excuses of how the kids would get too rowdy, and were only willing to take one of the boys home, and, allowing the other two children to be placed in foster care?  What kind of parents ARE you!!!
