From the mind of someone’s “little girl”, translated…
There are several “princesses” being born to the performing industries, seeing how those first time fathers showed their love toward their baby girls, I’d get reminded of my own father. Other than taking care of his two “lovers from a past life”, my dad also tailored to the needs of his lover in this life, treated the three of us like princesses.
In the workforce, my dad is the owner of a company, but, in front of us three, he’d lost that flair. Recalling how once he was meeting with the providers, and I’d accidentally walked into their meeting, at a very young age, I felt embarrassed, quickly, I’d turned around and closed the door, but my father came to inquire, in a very gentle tone, asked me what was the matter? I’d said in a barely audible voice that I was hungry, and, my dad immediately took me out to get something to eat, and after I got settled down, he’d returned back to his meeting. This small act had moved me so, that no matter how achieved he was, my father had always placed “family first”.
In my mom’s eyes, my dad is a very gentle lover, even if it was the middle of the nights, when mom’s not feeling well, my dad would always head out to get the medications or drive her to the doctor’s office. And, in our eyes, my father is the hero; every time when my older sister or I saw a spider or a cockroach, we’d start to scream, “dad!”, like all those spiders’, roaches’ name was “dad”. Hearing our screams, my dad would immediately appear, chased away the bugs, as he shook his head at how chicken we both were. Thinking back, it wasn’t that we were at all that scared, we just like feeling how protected we were by him is all.
My dad sometimes behaved like a little boy, and, when he’s naughty, it’d driven the princesses crazy, but, maybe it’s because how he’d still kept himself young at heart, it’d allowed us to get along very well with him. Dad is our teacher, also our friend, he’d played many important roles in our lives.
Because of my dad’s tolerance, it’d allowed me to become a spoiled little princess. Recalling how I’d handmade a Father’s Day card for him last year, he was so excited, he took a photo, and posted it on Facebook to show everybody; I want my dad to keep on smiling radiantly, what surprises shall I give him this year? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, let me wreck my brains on that then!
And so, you can see, how much this father is giving to his family, right? Despite his achieved status at work, he was still willing to drop everything when his children needed him, and that, is what being a good father is about, being there for your young, and, how many of you, daddies out there can honestly say that you can do that?
