The 32-year-old man, Chiu suspecting his ex-girlfriend Yu had taken up with another, got into a jealous rage, wandered outside her place in the middle of the night with three knives, and mistook Yu’s older brother who was calling her on his cell as the one who’d taken her heart, waited until Yu came outside, stabbed her eight times, causing her to die. The Keelung D.A.’s office finished the investigations and is looking to ask for the maximum punishment for him.
The indictment papers stated, that Chiu met up with Yu who was twelve years junior and still going to college last October and they’d started dating, but because of Chiu’s bad temper, his possessiveness of her, the temperaments aren’t compatible, at the start of April this year, they broke up. Chiu had difficulties looking past it, and because his LINE account as well as his phone number was blacklisted by Yu, he’d suspected that there might be another man in her life.
Before Yu passed, she’d told her godfather, that Chiu had flashed a knife in front of her, and at the beach, he’d told her to die. Chiu also stated that he will commit suicide in front of her, said that he wanted to get back at her, it’d made Yu fear.
On May 21st, Chiu took along three knives, placed them inside his backpack, at eight o’clock that evening, he’d gone to ambush by Yu’s residence, wandered around until the depth of night, saw Yu’s older brother standing beneath her window, calling her, he mistook him as Yu’s new love, rage overcame him.
About seven minutes later, Chiu blocked Yu who came out, took the two fruit knives, stabbed her in the back five times, her chest and abdomen three times, screamed at her, “You asked for it!”
After Yu fell into a puddle of her own blood, Chiu attempted suicide, gotten behind Yu, held her, lay with her on the sidewalk.
The D.A. stated, that because of the love that wasn’t going well for Chiu, he’d attempted to murder her, that he’d stabbed an unarmed woman eight times total, his methods were extremely cruel, that he had no humanity.
This, is how jealousy had fueled to someone’s death, and, the girl still got out too late, and, her life is lost, because she fell for the wrong guy.
