The D.A. is Asking for the Maximum for the Man Who’d Stabbed His Ex-Girlfriend Eight Times to Death

This is why you have to be ESPECIALLY careful in checking into the backgrounds of the nannies you hired, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A woman with a certification for taking care of infants, Chen took care of four babies, and because she wasn’t paying enough attention, in just one day, she’d allowed one female infant to get choked to death by a mouse cord, and another to choke on the milk, causing death. The Highest Courts tossed back her appeal, and yesterday, found her guilty of negligence causing death, sentenced her to two years in prison.

And, her son, Chen who was helping her, although he didn’t have a nanny certification, from before, he was also charged with the same crimes as his mother, and sentenced to a year and eight months in prison.

On the civil suit front, the two families had asked Chen and her son to pay $15 million N.T.s, but after the incidents, the mother and son pair worked at restaurants and only brings in a little over $20,000N.T. a month, the Hsinchu District Court just this March mandated that they need to pay one of the child, Chang’s parents a little over two million dollars.

The verdict pointed out, that on January 28, 2013, the parents of the infant girl, Chung dropped her off at Chen’s residence in Chubei City at her residence; on January 31st, the infant, Chang was also dropped off. Chen and her son on the second night, left the seven month old alone as she slept, but the child turned herself over, and got tangled up in the mouse chords around her neck; on that very afternoon, the two-months-old infant, Chang, after she had her bottle, slept on her tummy, and Chen failed to pay attention, to help her to sleep on her back, to prevent her from choking on the formulas.

That night at a little past eleven, Chen first found Chung’s face paled, after she did CPR on her, she’d rushed her to the hospitals, before the infant was able to get seen by a doctor, she’d died, and the son, Chen looked after the three remaining infants after the incident, until midnight, and he’d found the infant, Chang without a pulse, and once again, called up the ambulance, but, the child still died, due to respiratory failure.

And so, this is still due to the CARELESSNESS of the caretakers, and two years in prison was still NOT hard enough for this nanny, and hopefully, the courts had her nanny license revoked, because if they didn’t, heaven only knows how many more young babies are going to die in her care too!
