Observations on human strength here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
The explosion at the Ba-Shen Water Park took the lives of the younger generations one by one, and, there were, over hundreds of individuals who are hurting too, the relatives and families, feeling the heart wrench. And, there were several case of very young children who were neglected to death, and, everybody who’d heard about them all felt awful.
Where’s the pains? It can be said to exist everywhere, and, this annoying, unwelcomed pain, still kept, lurking around us all, and they’d even, marched in, unwelcomed, and found their places in our hearts and minds. Every passage of life, it would be there, waiting for you, around the corners.
As we age, the illnesses that comes with old age is surely frightening, and there’s the hardest kinds of bear. Longevity isn’t necessarily a blessing, because an aging body, overcome with pains, is very difficult to live through!
Since I’d turned fifty, every year around my birthday, I’d wished that my shoulders and lumbar could stop hurting, but, this wish never came true, and I could only get acupuncture treatments at the Chinese doctors’.
As for the psychological pains, it’s hard to measure, everyone has an assortment of psychological traumas that can’t be eased with a painkiller. And, especially the kind where the parents buried their young, or having a family member die, it’s too unbearable.
It’s there for life, but, it can change the forces in one’s life. Like in “Rabbit Hole”, the main character, Becca’s four-year-old was killed by a car, she’d fallen into a daze. Her own mother too, lost a son, the elderly tried using different methods to console her daughter. Becca asked, “Does it ever go away?” the mother replied, “I don’t think it will, at least, after eleven years, I still couldn’t forget it, but, it will change.”
Becca asked, “How?”, the mother replied, “I don’t know, I think, it’s the pressures that the event has on you! Sometimes, it’d become more manageable. You can stand back up from underneath its shadows, then, treat it as a brick, pick it up, put it into your pocket, but, you will, touch it, accidentally again…realizing that it’s still there. Oh! Yeah! It is, still there…”
Those who work in counseling, therapy and social work, are always tallying up those who were traumatized, and, there was a column that has, “Has the individual gone past the trauma yet?”, actually, this, is an outrageous guideline, when the traumas are so serious, how can you get beyond that completely:? But you still must try to find some sort of an “exit”, so you can get out from the suffocating scenarios.
And so, this, is a lesson on healing, and, the pains never goes away, especially the pains from losing someone so abruptly, and, it’s gonna take a LONG, LONG time before you can start healing, but, you will heal, and move on with your lives, otherwise, you’d get trapped forever, and being stagnant forever is still NOT a good option in life, I know, I was there too!
