A man with a prior here, a family tragedy, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
His seven-month old and two-month old daughters died of asphyxiation, and the coroners ruled it as accidental choking on milk, two nights ago, his a little over a-year-old son died, but, without any external injuries, he’d told the paramedics, “the child got too loud, and I’d put a quilt over him…”
The forty-five year-old man, Lin two nights ago, carried a one-year-ten-months old male child into the Miners’ Hospital in Keelung, claimed, “My child suffocated”, and made the excuse of wanting to get his identification from home, left the hospital, then, disappeared. The child died, after emergency resuscitation, the police found out, that Lin’s daughter also died of asphyxiation this February, and they started suspecting, that the deaths weren’t at all, accidental, and they’re going to track down the father.
The police investigated, that Lin is unemployed, with priors in illegal substances, has a son with his first wife, and a son and a daughter with his second wife, Lin, after they were divorced, the custody of the children went to him, Lin, his father, and his three children lived in Nuan-Nuan District in Keelung.
The grandfather of the little boy told the police, that two nights ago, his son and his grandson were originally playing in the bedroom, then, his son carried his grandson out, and said, that the grandson didn’t have a heartrate, he’d felt the child’s body, the head was cold, while the body was still warm, he’d immediately asked the neighbors to drive the child to the hospital.
The woman in charge of the borough, Su who lives next door said, two nights at around seven, the boy’s grandfather came to tell that the child wasn’t feeling well, and begged her to drive them to the hospital, and she and her husband immediately started the car, the child was carried by Lin, and the grandfather also accompanied along.
The Miners’ Hospital in Keelung pointed out, as the man rushed into the E.R., he’d told the staff, “the kid was too loud, and I’d placed a quilt over him, he’d suffocated”, and claimed that he needed to get his identification from his house, but, lost contact after he’d gone out of the hospital, after the hospital did emergency resuscitation measure, Lin the child still died. The D.A. examined yesterday, and found that there was NO visible injuries on the child, that they needed to perform an autopsy, to get to the real reason behind what caused his death.
The police also found out, that Lin’s seven-month old younger daughter, in February, accidentally died of asphyxiation, after the autopsy, the cause of death was choking on milk, and the detectives concluded that it was an accident, and closed the case, but, within no more than six months’ time, the young boy died too, the police now suspected, that the deaths aren’t at all, that simple at all.
Su, the man in charge of the borough said, that the three generations of the Lin family lived together, the family was normal, that he’d never heard of any violence, and he’d even seen Lin taking his son out for strolls, or riding his child someplace, that the little boy looked well, and that if he were beaten, there would be bruises, but there weren’t.
Lin’s ex-wife told the police, that her ex loved their children, that he probably wouldn’t physically abuse them, but, she’d also felt the cause of death was “weird”, and that the result of death may be caused by her ex’s carelessness; she’d disclosed that her ex was suicidal from before, feared that he might commit suicide.
And so, a child was murdered, and it was still NO accident, and, the father who’d beaten the kid up to death tried to escape, and, he may have evaded his arrest, for now, but, he will get caught eventually, and, he will NOT just be facing the judgments of the law, but also the judgments of his own GUILTY conscience, after all, he did, cause his children to D-I-E!
