I Can Only Give You a-Quarter of My Love, He Murdered His Girlfriend Out of Anger

Let’s see how this love turned into murder, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

An unmarried man, Tsai, seven years ago, started dating a married woman who was younger, Tsai, in recent months, he’d started suspecting that she was with another, and lost contact with him, two days ago, he’d asked Tsai out to talk, she’d said, “I can only give you a-fourth of my love”, he was so angry that he’d taken a knife, stabbed her to death, and, in the evenings, he was accompanied by his family members, to head to the police to turn himself in.  Yesterday the police processed him based off of murder, and the D.A. asked the courts for him to be taken into custody, which was granted.

The police investigated, the 36-year-old woman, Tsai was married, with four children, two weeks ago, she was divorced.  Tsai (age 36) who works in a factory met her a little more than seven years ago.  In recent months, Tsai intentionally distanced herself away from him, stopped calling him, and he’d suspected that she was dating another man.

Two mornings ago, Tsai went to the wholesales mart, bought a fruit knife, made sure that Tsai went to work, then, he’d gone to the front door of the factory where she’d worked, called her out for a confrontation.  Tsai agreed that she’ll come meet him during her lunch hour, the time was set at one in the afternoon, after the woman came out, Tsai drove her to a deserted region to have a talk.

Tsai claimed that on the ride there, Tsai came clean about how she was seeing another man and said, “half of my heart is on my kids, and, the other half, you and him get to share”, after he’d heard that, he’d lost it, gotten angered, and, took out the knife he had hidden, and stabbed her in the chest.  He saw how the woman bled out, and was dead, he’d moved the body into the trunk, then, he drove back to his workplace in Changhwa.

After Tsai had murdered the woman, he felt remorse and regrets, and wanted to kill himself, he’d even said his farewells to his coworkers, and told his manager, “I’d killed someone, I’m going to end my own life”, then, he’d ignored his coworkers’ words of consults, and returned to the scene of the crime in Dadu, was about to commit suicide.

His coworker immediately notified the police, the police got a hold of Tsai’s families, to help them track him down.  At around a little past six, Tsai turned himself in, with his older brother accompanying him, he’d admitted to murdering Tsai.  The police immediately went to the site, found Tsai’s car, and, found Tsai’s body inside the trunk.  The officers examined and found, that Tsai’s death was caused by the knife stab into her right chest, she’d lost too much blood and died.

The police investigated, and found that Tsai’s family couldn’t understand what drove Tsai to murder their loved one, and questioned him on how he could’ve been so cruel?  Based off of Tsai’s coworkers, Tsai is very quiet, and, he’d kept everything bottled up, and none of them ever expected that he’d do something like this.  And, the police also found Tsai’s cell phone on Tsai’s car, and they’d turned it over to the forensics team, so they could get more from the contents of her cell on the case, to figure out if her death was caused by their love going sour, or, if there are other possible reasons.

And so, we have here, another breakup that ended badly, because the man wanted the woman’s love all to himself, and she’d clearly told him, that she could only afford to give him a-fourth of her love, and, he’d snapped, and in the heat of the moment, he’d committed murder, and this still raise that red flag on how you need to handle these breakup talks more delicately.
