A Depressed Mother Needs Assistance from Everybody Else

From the Front Page Sections, translated…

Recently, a mother, seemingly overwhelmed by postpartum depression, took along her not-yet-one-month old baby, and committed suicide, causing the public to notice.  And still, toward this sort of a tragedy, what, can we do, to prevent it?

For new parents, starting at the moment of conception, you’d become parents immediately, but, how, do you take care of yourselves before the baby comes?  How much food intake do we give our infant?  Do we take the infant to the doctors when s/he has a fever?  How to deal with an infant crying endlessly?  All of these circling questions, other than relying on those around you, who already had the experiences, it’s the parents who needed to slowly discover; and, combined with the postpartum depressions, along with the hormonal changes that one experiences, then, tragedies happen easily.

And so, here, having a strong social support network is very important, and, it’s also a must, that the pregnant ladies keep their moods uplifted, because happy mommies equal happy babies, and, if you, the mothers are depressed, then, how can you possibly take care of your newborn infants?
