Life, the Obstacle Course

Is it True, that the Levels of the College Level Students are Getting Lower & Lower?

This should RAISE an A-L-A-R-M, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

Working in an institution of higher education, there is a high ratio of one’s friends being in the same workforce too, and, these couple of years, as the instructors met up for chit-chat, they’d all sighed on how “the level of the students are getting lower and lower these days.”  I had been working in the industries for quite some time now, and, I’d often heard my colleagues complained, “the students you guys trained are less and less usable.”

Sometimes, you need not take these claims too seriously, just like how people would normally complained, “the days are getting harder”, which has NO reflection on reality getting harder at all, it’s just this sense of nostalgia that older generations have, about how the good old days are gone.

But these may not just be empty, unwarranted complaints, some college instructors started writing on the media, stating, giving facts about how the students’ levels are lower, compared to before; and there are owners of major enterprises claiming how the starting salaries for newly graduated college students are a whole lot lower compared to before too.  And the reasons for this being how the newly graduated college students lacked the competitive edge, that they can’t blame it on anybody else, let alone, the conditions of the society.

And if that is so, then, the issue of whether the levels of college grads are dropping seemed to be more important, now, than ever.

And the writer goes on comparing the values that his previous generations held, versus his generations hold, versus the values of the younger generations of people now, and from that, you can see, that EACH and EVERY generation HAS its difficulties, and this, is a multifaceted area of discussion, and you still can’t just judge everything based off of what you had observed.
