Finally, finding that long-searched-for, long lost happiness in her marriage, translated…
Yun-Yun’s husband, Chiang, is an honest and gentle man, even after her three children were born, he’d still treated Yun-Yun kindly, held her in the palms of his hands, and, Yun-Yun too, cherished this kindness from her man, and she’d worked even harder, on making the relationship between her mother-in-law and her work out better.
The year that their eldest daughter started in first grade, Chiang was set up by his friends, accumulated a ton of gambling debts, and, because he couldn’t withstand the pressures from the debts and life in general, he’d fallen ill, and then passed away, leaving the harshness of taking care of his final affairs, as well as her three young kids, and the debts that he’d owed, thankfully, Yun-Yun had her mother-in-law’s household, backing her up, she’d made it through.
Her mother-in-law felt bad about how Yun-Yun is all alone, taking care of three young children, she’d started, trying to match make her with someone fitting. And, through introductions of a friend, she’d met Fu, who’d lost his wife too, although Fu has three kids of his own, but, he is well-to-do economically, it’s just that his business of raising up pigs needed to have a hard-working “better half”, he’d promised, to treat Yun-Yun’s children with all the kindness; seeing how Fu treated their interactions with everything he has, Yun-Yun clearly realized, that remarriage is another road she needed to work hard on, but she believed, that she should give herself a chance, so long as she works hard, she can manage, to conquer all the life’s difficulties.
After she remarried, Yun-Yun treated Fu’s children with even more compassion and patience, and, the children felt Yun-Yun’s giving to them, and, very shortly after she became their stepmother, they’d become, dependent on her. Other than taking care of the six children, Yun-Yun also helped Fu with his business, and, Fu didn’t let those who looked upon him down either, his business was up, and running well, he worried that Yun-Yun might overwork herself, and he’d even hired a household helper to assist her in the household chores.
And now, at age sixty-five, Yun-Yun is the grandmother of three, after the many years of trials from before, she can finally live her life easily, playing with her grandchildren, and relax in life.
And so, eventually, this woman’s hard work is noted by the heavens, and, although she’d had the difficulties of losing her husband, raising her own children, plus the children of her new husband, she’d not complained, and, it’s exactly that sort of an attitude she had toward the trials in her life that’s allowed her to have better fortune in her elderly years.
