He arrived at the restaurant, and, before the matré d could ask him anything, he’d told her, “lonely for one”!
Lonely for one, because loneliness is easier to handle on one’s own, and, if you got someone there with you, feeling lonely also, then, you’d not only have to deal with your own loneliness, you also have to cater to hers/his too, and that, is just too much, isn’t it?
Lonely for one, he’d been sitting alone, every single day, since his wife had gone, and, sometimes, when he lowered his head to his soup, you could almost see those tears, falling in, making his already too-much salt soup, even saltier still.
Lonely for one, that is what I will always be having, because, I’d rather be lonely alone (hello, hello, hello??? Remember the lyrics of that song?), and besides, if I were to be lonely (which I never WILL be, ‘cuz I will always be in MY own company!), I still wouldn’t want Y-O-U around me!
Note: this is still NOT (why is it I feel like I’m still repeating things over, over, over, and over again here???) directed toward ANYBODY who CAN read!

And no, this, is still NOT my photograph, found it online…
