Got into an Argument on Getting Drunk After His Girlfriend’s Funeral, He’d Murdered His Friend and Received a Sixteen-Year Jail Sentence

Reasons for murder, it’s the smallest things that got this person killed here, can you imagine it!!!  From the Newspapers, translated…

A man, Dai, wanted to thank his friend for setting up his girlfriend’s funeral, on the evening of his girlfriend’s wake, he’d invited his friend to a karaoke, but because of the matter of debts and where to continue to drink afterwards, he’d gotten into a fist fight with his middle school classmate, Chou, Chou stabbed him to death.  The Hsinbei District Court found Chou guilty of murdering Dai, gave him sixteen years, and mandated that he needed to pay $3.45 million N.T.s to Chou’s family members.

When the court was in session, Chou claimed his behaviors as self-defense, that he’d stabbed Dai, that he didn’t have the intentions of murdering him; he was very remorseful for murdering his best friend, and is willing to pay Dai’s parents $20,000N.T. every month, but right now, he doesn’t have any money.

The courts investigated, last year on August 7^th, Dai had a funeral for his girlfriend, that very night, he’d invited Chou, and several friends to a karaoke bar to drink and sing; later on, Dai and Chou, started arguing over a few thousand dollars’ worth of unsettled debts, and where to go for the next rounds, Dai mentioned how Chou still hadn’t paid back what he’d owed him, and, they started getting into a physical altercation, left the animosity in the air.

As Dai ruminated, he’d gotten angrier and angrier, the very next day, early in the morn, he’d gone to Chou’s to confront him, they’d gotten into a fist fight again, Chou took out a sharpened knife he’d prestashed away, and stabbed Dai multiple times on the chest, Dai started bleeding out and fell to the ground, and, afterwards, because there were puncture wounds on Dai’s heart and liver, after one hour of emergency resuscitation, he was still declared dead.  Chou claimed that he had the knife, for the sake of protecting himself, not to murder Dai.

The judge reviewed over the surveillance footage and found, that Dai didn’t have anything to defend himself with, as they were fighting, Chou’s knife fell to the ground, and yet, he didn’t think of using a less severe way to fight back, instead, he’d picked up the knife, and started stabbing at Dai like crazy, the judge believed, that Chou murdered Dai intentionally.

And, people kill for LESS reason than that, and, the thing that’s caused this man to react so strongly was because he’d had one too many to drink, because, under normal circumstances, you would just get angry, and maybe, punch the other person, but, with alcohol as the stimulus, it’d made the man reacted more strongly.
