From someone’s’ experiences in life, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
I’d worked at a public office for thirty-one years, I’d filed for retirement at fifty-three, I’d originally planned, to work for the private sectors for another decade or so, then, formally, retired! It’s just, that things didn’t go as I’d planned. I’d originally planned, to fly to northern Vietnam, to train the nurses to care for the aging populations, to teach the nurses the ways to get the mucous out. Back in 2013, when this training was still not that well-known, we’d already, walked, in front. It has social service values, and helped out the aging community as well, with the increase in the elderly population, I’m not wasting the rest of my life away.
But, my parents are elderly and ill, needed the cares from their young, plus my wife was against it, I could only work as a security guard for the community. Three years ago, I’d passed the certification for a Chinese tour guide. Used my off-duty hours, to participate in numerous volunteer work. And, I’d headed up in the mountains for some planting, and after my nap, I’d worked, for a short time, kept a regular schedule, with the extra income, and leisurely activities. It’d made me feel, that I’m still giving back to the world, instead of someone, who’s just, living off of the social security paychecks.
As for the laws for the hiring of retired folks, it’s better that the government pass one, the older adults need to carry the attitude of “learning as we age”, to use the experiences that one accumulated in life, to make up for the lax of knowledge in the high-tech products. You can’t always live at the top of your games forever, but, keeping a passionate mind, and a youthful heart is very important.
And so, this, is how one man stays active after his retirement, he still worked, and pursued his interests, and that, is what makes his retirement very colorful, and, unlike the beliefs of how after one retires, the person should just wait for death, it’s totally NOT the case with this person here!
