Because we can be whoever the HELL it is we hoped we were online, and that, is how, we’d found “love”, by masking our true selves up when we’d interacted with one another.
You’d told me things about you, which may or may not be true, I still wouldn’t know, after all, I’m NOT having a face-to-face conversation with you, so, there’s NO way for me to tell if you’re telling the truth, or if you’re lying!
This love we’d found, was limited, to our online interactions, but after we’d logged off, it’s like, we’d been, erased, off of one another’s minds, we’d gone on, to live out, our separate lives, this, wasn’t how love’s supposed to be, not based off of my understandings of it, at least.
Love, limited to our online interactions, because we’d painted this picture-perfect portrait of ourselves, to fit to one another’s likings, but, when we’d met up face to face, that, was when our beliefs, thoughts, and imaginations of who each other is shattered, and, we’d ended, right at that precise moment, when we first met.
So much, for those twelve months of interactions online we’d shared, I guess, it’s best, that we go back to being strangers, after all………
