From the surveillance footage, one can see, how Mai tossed and turned, because of the pains, there was a huge bruise on his chest and abdomen area, and the blood seeped out, and dyed his shirt red, he couldn’t eat, and, went into shock, but the detention hall didn’t pay any heed. A little over an hour before Mai’s death, the manager of the unit, and the pharmacists had recommended that he get sent to a hospital outside, but the man in charge, Chen wouldn’t have it, said, that Mai was faking it.
The board found, that a month before Mai died, his weight dropped from 123.3 pounds to 88 pounds, and the woman responsible for the sanitations, Hou never even paid him any heed. There had been incidents where Mai would refuse to return to class from before, and the person in charge of the place, Lin didn’t hear Mai out, instead, agreed with the officials, that Mai was ranting, and punished him even more severely.
So, basically, IF you get sent into juvenile detention, you’re GOOD as DEAD, because they’ll treat you like SCUM, because in those adults’ point of view, that, is what you are, otherwise, why would you be there in the first place, and this will still NOT be the very first, OR the last of this sort of cases.
