“A bad guy with a Uzi!”, a student started screaming, at around 7:30 in the morning yesterday, as the kids were heading into the school, a lot of parents, who’d heard the student screamed, rushed into the school campus with their kids, and the officers who’d heard of the news quickly came on site, and arrested the man with the weapon, Su, and managed to find two toy guns, as well as a craft knife, and folding knife, and two more knives off of him.
A parent who was still shocked said, that since the case in Taipei a few days ago, she’d felt so terrified, as she’d dropped her children off to school, and told her children, “If you see a stranger, RUN, SCREAM, DON’T GET SINGLED OUT!”, but yesterday, a weirdo had a gun, standing in front of the schools, threatening them, “It’s truly scary!”, we hoped, that the police can work harder in the patrols, to keep the students safe.”
The police investigated and found that the forty-year-old man, Su has a manual for emotional handicap, yesterday at a little past seven, he ran to the trees of the Zuoying Elementary School front gate entrance, took out the toy Uzi, pointed the gun toward the parents and students, as well as the teachers, causing this panic. Back then, the patrol officers were doing a program on child safety concerns, they’d heard the screams and went to check, made an arrest.
After Su was arrested, he’d claimed that he didn’t know that there was the case where the elementary school age child whose throat was cut, that the reason why he’d pointed the toy gun toward the strangers was because he believed, that someone was out to get him, “I had no intentions of hurting the children at all.”
Su’s mother said, that her son was diagnosed with a mental condition, she’d planned to send him into a mental institution for treatment, but, after he’d found out, he’d started wandering the streets on his own. After the police interrogated him, they’d’ forcefully placed Su into a mental hospital.
